York Coins Inc is a New York Corporation, specializing in Roman, Ancient British, Anglo-Gallic, English, Scottish and Irish hammered coins. York Coins is a full service coin retail business focusing on providing the collectors in these areas with a professional and highly personalized service. In addition to offering coins for sale on www.yorkcoins.com  I also regularly attend coin fairs and auctions in both the United States and the United Kingdom and always enjoy meeting collectors at these gatherings.

A native of Yorkshire, England, I have a degree in Archaeology from University College London's Institute of Archaeology. I joined Spink and Son Ltd in London in 1993 as a specialist in British Coins, Tokens and Medals. During this time I contributed to the yearly revision of the Spink Standard Catalog of British Coins, in particular the Ancient British section which I fully revised. I was also a specialist advisor to the Treasure Trove Valuation Committee. In 1998 I was appointed Senior Vice President of Spink America in New York, where as senior specialist I ran and managed the former numismatic and philatelic retail and auction division of Christie's Inc.  In 2002, following Christie's sale of the Spink division I founded York Coins to provide a high level of professional and personalized service to collectors in the areas of numismatics I know and love best.

I am the New York representative for Dix, Noonan and Webb, the London based firm of coin and medal auctioneers.
