H3033 - Aethelred II, the Unready (978-1016), Two Fused Lumps of CRVX type (c.991-c.997), Silver Pennies, 2.48g. (top) and 7.80g. (bottom) containing at least 6 pennies and their fragments, discernable reverse legends as follows:   PYNEGOS M-O EOFR (York mint - moneyer Vangaus)  and another of the Cambridge mint (GRAN), (N.770; S.1148),  Vangaus is a rare moneyer, fused together by fire, an interesting group. $895

H3240 - Aethelred II, the Unready (978-1016), Silver Penny, 0.97g., CRVX type (c.991-c.997), London - Godric, bare-headed bust left with sceptre, ÆÐELRED REX ANGLORX, rev., short cross voided CRVX in the angles, +G[ODRI]C M-O LVND, pellet on inner circle in 3rd and in each angle, as privy mark, (N.770; S.1148),  chipped good very fine, toned, rare with privy mark, good provenance. $195
