H1673 - Eadred (946-955), Silver Penny, 1.28g., Two line type, Group HT1, moneyer Hungar, +EADRED REX, around inner circle with a cross pattée within, rev., HVNGAR MO, divided by three crosses, a trefoil above and below, (N.706; S.1113), moneyer not recorded for Eadred otherwise known for Aethelstan, irregular shaped flan, toned, almost very fine. $995 SOLD

The moneyer Hungar is only known from a mint named Aethelstan portrait coin from Rochester in the British Museum (SCBI 34 - BM: 151).
