The
three emperors indicated by AVGGG are Carausius, Diocletian and Maximian, a
triumvariate within which Carausius claimed equal standing. If a deal was
struck that made him a member of the imperial college it’s memory was very
thoroughly cleansed from the official records by the central empires
panegyrists after his death and the overthrow of his regime.
