JCN22 - William II (Rufus) (1087-1100), Silver Penny, 1.36g., Cross Fleury and Piles type (c.1098-1100), Norwich - Howard, crowned facing bust of king, holding sceptre over right shoulder, star in field right, +PILLELM RE, rev. cross fleury with a pile surmounted by a pellet in each angle,  +HOPORDI O NORÐ, (N.856; S.1262), slight wave in the flan, otherwise good very fine, toned, rare. $4495 SOLD

JCN20 - William II (Rufus) (1087-1100), Silver Penny, 1.40g., Cross Pattée and Fleury type (c.1095-1098), Sudbury - Wulfric, crowned facing bust of king, holding sword +PILLELM REX, rev., cross pattée over a cross fleury, +PULFRIC ON SUĐ, (N.855; S.1261), very small striking crack at 9 o’clock (no light), otherwise good very fine for this very rare type at a rare mint. $4995 SOLD
